#3288 – Open 19.5, the Last One for a Year

Open 19.5 is . . .

Just like that, we are down to the last workout.

This is, hands down, the toughest variation of Fran we have seen yet. They added 66- yes – 66 reps to the most challenging year we have had yet, which was 2015 Thruster / rowing wod.

The workouts each ear have been different, some times rowing, sometimes burpees, sometimes pull ups or Double unders. But the reps have never been higher AND I feel like Chest-to-bar pull ups is the hardest of all the other options . In 2015 the reps were 72 of each movement. In 2016, 84 of each, 2017 – 90 of each, and this year 105 reps of each!!

My suggestion is to pace as well as break into sets the first round and then just try to get big sets as you go on, with specific rest time. Don’t just wait “till you feel better” ( cuz you won’t!).
